VR experience shop is very expensive! But it is the best choice for VR games at this stage

In 2016, virtual reality (VR) reached its peak, often referred to as the first year of VR. Despite a somewhat cooling off in public enthusiasm, many remain curious and eager to explore this innovative technology. Among the various ways to experience VR, gaming offers the most immediate and engaging interaction. I recently decided to dive into the world of VR gaming by visiting several experience centers in Beijing. My journey began with Rockstone Technology VR Experience Museum, located in the 798 Art Zone. This museum offered a mix of cutting-edge VR equipment, including HTC Vive, PS VR, and Oculus setups. While the ambiance was tech-savvy, with dim lighting and a futuristic vibe, some of the games, particularly those on lower-end devices, felt outdated and lacked sharp visuals. Next, I visited RASS13 District, housed in the World Trade Plaza. This place stood out for its professional management and expansive game selection. The staff was attentive, guiding me through beginner-friendly games like "Walking in the Clouds." The HTC Vive setup provided a more immersive experience, especially in action-packed games such as a boxing simulation. However, the pricing was steep—198 yuan for a half-hour session, which might deter casual gamers. Lastly, I stopped by Mystery World VR Experience Pavilion, located on the 10th floor of Chaoyang Joy City. The space was smaller, focusing on multiplayer experiences. While the equipment was similar to the others, the staff’s suggestion to head to a nearby arcade for single-player games left a slightly sour impression. Prices here were also on the higher side, making it more suitable for group play. Overall, these experiences highlighted the potential of VR but also underscored its current limitations. The technology is impressive, yet the cost and space requirements remain barriers for widespread adoption. For now, visiting VR experience centers seems to be the most accessible way to engage with this emerging field. As someone who tried multiple setups, my advice is straightforward: if you’re serious about VR gaming, consider checking out RASS13 District—it offers unmatched quality and service. But if budget is a concern, smaller arcades might offer better value. VR gaming is still evolving, and with more diverse offerings, it could become a staple of entertainment. Until then, enjoying it occasionally remains the practical approach.
