Global Network Comprehensive Report According to a report from U.S. media on September 26th, Boeing's Zhoushan 737 MAX completion and delivery center was officially launched in 2018. This facility marks a significant step in the company’s global expansion strategy, as it brings key aircraft assembly and finishing processes closer to one of its most important markets—China.
Like a well-coordinated machine, Boeing frequently sends engineers and technicians from its busy factory in Renton, Washington, to Zhoushan, China, to assist with the assembly and painting of the 737 series aircraft. These teams work closely with local staff to ensure that each plane meets Boeing’s strict quality standards before it is delivered to airlines around the world. The final inspection and delivery process takes place just five miles away from the assembly site, ensuring a smooth transition from production to operation.
In addition to the on-site support, Boeing also utilizes advanced aircraft coating technologies, such as auxiliary spray painting. This method has been in use for decades and has proven to be both efficient and reliable. Starting from late 2018, more and more new 737 MAX aircraft began using a green zinc chromate primer, which not only enhances corrosion resistance but also aligns with Boeing’s environmental and safety initiatives.
This collaboration between Boeing’s global teams and Chinese workers highlights the growing importance of international partnerships in the aviation industry. As the demand for fuel-efficient aircraft continues to rise, facilities like the Zhoushan center play a crucial role in meeting market needs while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
