Still worried about choosing the perfect pair of glasses? Your solution is here! Today, we’re diving into a cutting-edge innovation that’s changing the way people shop for eyewear. Imagine being able to try on glasses virtually from the comfort of your home—no more guesswork, no more hassle.
Recently, Lenskart, India's leading online eyewear retailer, made a significant move by investing $1 million in San Francisco-based startup Ditto. This collaboration brings advanced face modeling technology that offers a virtual try-on experience. As part of the deal, Lenskart now holds a minority stake in Ditto, signaling a strong partnership between the two companies.
Lenskart has already integrated Ditto’s 3D try-on service on its website and app. The feature allows customers to upload their own photos and see how different frames look on them. This not only enhances user engagement but also makes the shopping experience more interactive and personalized.

Peyush Bansal, CEO and founder of Lenskart, shared his excitement: "Ditto’s exclusive 3D virtual try-on technology gives our customers a realistic view of how glasses will look on them. We're already running over 10,000 trials daily, and the feedback has been incredible."
Ditto is a tech-driven company that partners with optical retailers globally. Their platform enables users to create a face video using just a smartphone or webcam, then test out different glasses in real-time. It even offers facial analysis and tailored frame suggestions based on individual features.
The 3D try-on service models a user’s face from multiple angles, allowing them to rotate the image and view glasses from all sides. By leveraging historical data and personal preferences, this tool helps shoppers make faster, more informed decisions. Lenskart started using the service back in 2016, and it has since become a key part of their digital strategy.
Founded in 2010, Lenskart has grown rapidly, offering over 10,000 eyewear styles across various brands and designs. With more than 350 stores in 95 cities across India, the company continues to expand its reach while focusing on innovation and customer satisfaction.
This partnership between Lenskart and Ditto is a clear example of how technology is reshaping the retail landscape. It’s not just about convenience—it’s about making the shopping experience more enjoyable, accurate, and efficient for everyone involved.
