Most notable is the Shanghai Eco-House Pavilion in the Urban Best Practices Area. Xiong Feng said that this is the only venue in the entire Expo Park that uses LED technology lighting indoors and outdoors. He said that with the continuous improvement of LED light efficiency, LED lighting technology can be fully applied to indoor white light lighting, and has many advantages such as energy saving, environmental protection, controllability, etc., which can combine light with environment and architectural landscape. Not only the Expo venues, but also the streetlights, buses and other supporting facilities in the Expo Park can also see the application of LED technology. Xiong Feng said that the inner courtyard road of the Expo Park uses nearly 200 LED street lights, which not only has good lighting effect, but also is very energy-saving. Shanghai New Energy Bus has also replaced fluorescent lamps with LED lights, achieving energy saving and no The effect of ultraviolet radiation.
According to preliminary estimates, more than 80% of the nightscape lighting sources in the entire Expo Park use LED technology, and the comprehensive energy-saving efficiency can reach more than 70%. Experts pointed out that LED technology has become the main light source technology for outdoor landscape lighting and decorative lighting. With the continuous development of LED high-power light source and the continuous innovation of lighting art, the demonstration application of the World Expo will occupy the market to a greater extent.
