In 2009, the company achieved a profit of 76.625 million yuan from the owner of the parent company, a year-on-year increase of 465%. At the same time, the company's comprehensive gross profit margin reached 28.13%, the best level since 2000. Among them, the operating income of power devices increased by 15%, and the gross profit margin of 26.62% was a record high. The led chip grew by 15% with a gross margin of 40.5%. Integrated circuit products benefit from product structure optimization, with a gross margin of 24%, which is better than the industry's 9% level.
Aijian Securities researcher Zhu Zhiyong said to the author that the increase in Silan's micro-margin interest rate in 2009 was mainly the result of the decline in upstream raw material prices and the rise in downstream electronic components. At the same time, this fundraising project will break through the company's current capacity bottleneck in one fell swoop, greatly enhance the company's production capacity, and will further maintain the company's gross profit margin after mass production.
The current lack of capacity has become a bottleneck for performance growth, prompting the company to increase capital expenditures. Zhu Zhiyong believes that although the company is currently in a leading position in the industry, due to its small scale, the company's epitaxial wafer production capacity is about 150,000 pieces per year, which is far from the scale of Sanan Optoelectronics' current annual output of 500,000 epitaxial wafers. What's more, Sanan Optoelectronics has achieved an annual production capacity of 850,000 pieces through the fundraising plan.
In this additional issuance, Silan Micro plans to raise funds of no more than 600 million yuan, of which nearly 500 million yuan is used for project expansion. The construction scale of the fundraising project is about 312 sets/sets of newly purchased process equipment, which is used to expand the LED chip production line, adding 570,000 pieces/years of epitaxial wafers, and adding 7.2 billion pieces/year of chips. After the implementation of the project, Silan Mingxin can realize the production capacity of 600 million pieces/month of high-brightness light-emitting diode (LED) chips and 47,500 pieces/month of epitaxial wafers.
Zhu Zhiyong said that in the domestic LED chips selected for indoor and outdoor full color screens, the company's products have a large market share. In the field of blue and green light chips, the company has become one of the largest LED chip manufacturers in mainland China. The private placement shows the company's confidence in the LED industry. After the completion of the project, the company's LED epitaxial wafers and chip production capacity will be greatly improved, and the gap with competitors will be greatly reduced, and competitiveness will be enhanced.
