Earlier this year, 18 LED street lights on Yihui Road in Nansha District of Guangzhou City were installed with this intelligent lighting system. When there is no car, the brightness of the light is 30%, there is a car through, the brightness of the light is 100%. Measured energy savings up to 78.7%, so far stable operation. "Of course, this is the ideal situation. If it is in a busy urban street, the energy-saving effect will not be so good."

Broken street lights can also be automatically alarmed

According to estimates, on the basis of LED lights, the transformation of the public lighting system models, with the video to the vehicle detection function, in general, can achieve 44.2% energy-saving rate. Taking Nansha District of Guangzhou as an example, there are approximately 35,000 street lights in the district, which can save electricity costs of RMB 8.5592 million per year and it is estimated that the cost can be recovered from 2.64 to 2.77.
