November 30 news, according to foreign media reports, RIM on Thursday released to developers a new prototype of the BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha C, which is the first QWERTY full keyboard design BlackBerry 10 devices. RIM stated in its official blog that Dev Alpha C prototypes are only available to developers and have a limited number. Developers who have previously demonstrated that they are developing BlackBerry 10 applications will receive Dev Alpha C. RIM does have a scoring system to determine which developers have pre-owned BlackBerry devices. The system will award the most points to developers who have previously developed RIM-certified applications.
Previously, RIM released the first Dev Alpha prototype at the BlackBerry World Developer Conference held this spring and released its upgraded version of Dev Alpha B this fall. Both Dev Alpha prototypes are pure touch-screen phones, and the release of Dev Alpha C means that RIM partially fulfilled its previous promise that RIM will launch both touch-screen and QWERTY full-keyboard devices at the time of the BlackBerry 10 release.
