Replacing incandescent lamps, we have a more energy-efficient solution than compact fluorescent lamps.

Until recently, LED bulb manufacturers have struggled to find a solution to replace 75-100W incandescent bulbs in terms of size and brightness. Three friends from the University of Toronto have recently provided a viable product called "NanoLight" that takes into account the brightness of 100W incandescent bulbs and the power consumption of LED bulbs. In 2005, before NanoLight, Gimmy Chu, Tom Rodinger and Christian Yan met on a solar car project at the university.
Three years ago, in order to share common enthusiasm and develop sustainable products, they teamed up again and raised funds on KickStarter to launch three models of Nanolight. The three hope that their products will achieve true 100W LED lighting and become "the world's most energy efficient bulb."
Although LED lamps generate less heat than traditional incandescent lamps, the increase in brightness and heat still reduces the efficiency and longevity of the LEDs. By directly connecting to the printed circuit board, NanoLight products have solved the heat dissipation problem of LEDs, and the final product looks like a folded circuit board.
Before the advent of new products, compact fluorescent lamps have always been a replacement for 100W incandescent bulbs (if you have enough time to wait for it to "warm up" and achieve maximum light output). NanoLight uses less harmful substances in the manufacturing process, provides instant warm-up and provides longer white light output with an estimated life of 30,000 hours.
In addition to the conventional 12W NanoLight, there are 10W (equivalent to 75W incandescent) and 12W / 1800+ lumens on the product line. All three models are available in 120V AC and 220-240V AC versions to suit different regions. The NanoLight team also has a highly demanding dimmable version that prototypes can achieve.
Although the current price of LED bulbs is still at a high price of $50, NanoLight has a lifetime of more than 30,000 hours, which still saves consumers about 6/7 (relative to the incandescent bulbs used in the same cycle).
