National Quality Inspection Bureau Visits Guangdong to Research LED Standardization Construction

On December 27, 2012, members of the Party Committee of the State General Administration of Quality Supervision, Director Chen Gang and the deputy director of the State Administration of Standardization went to Guangdong to conduct special research on the standardization work of the LED industry.

The research team visited the Guangdong Zhaoxin Group and the Guangdong New Light Source Industry Base, and held a special symposium at the Joint Innovation Center of Semiconductor Lighting Industry. The symposium was chaired by Deputy Director Ye Jingtu of the Science and Technology Department of Guangdong Province. Li Xinghua, Deputy Director Zhang Yanfei of Guangdong Province Quality Supervision Bureau and Deputy Mayor of Foshan Wang Ling attended the ceremony.

Director Li Xinghua pointed out that the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government have listed the LED industry as one of the three strategic emerging industries that have taken the lead in the province's first breakthrough, and have explicitly requested that the Provincial Science and Technology Department take the lead. In recent years, Guangdong LED industry has done a lot of work in terms of technical research, popularization and application, as well as standard construction. In particular, it has made bold explorations and practices in the LED industry standards, and has formed a set of effective practices and experiences. It is hoped that these results can be integrated into national standards and hope that the Guangdong LED industry can play a greater role in the development of national standards.

This survey is to scientifically formulate national standards for semiconductor lighting, and will revise and improve 37 national standards projects in the LED field, and follow the “system management, key breakthroughs, and overall improvement” work ideas to promote the LED industry standardization project The implementation of the organization.
