1. Introduction to the Testing Machine

The Plastic Corrugated Pipe Local Lateral Load Testing Machine is designed for evaluating the mechanical properties of plastic corrugated pipes used in prestressed concrete bridges. It follows the China transportation industry standard JT/T 529-2004 and is used to determine the local lateral load characteristics of these pipes.

4. Operating Instructions

  1. Connect the machine to a 380V power supply and turn on the power switch. The indicator light should be on.
  2. Press the display switch key to power up the screen. Use the left key to adjust the position until it reaches the desired height.
  3. Place the test specimen on the right side and lower it into position. Apply a lateral load using the cylindrical head with a diameter of 12mm. The load should reach 800N within 30 seconds.
  4. Once the load reaches 2mm, observe the surface of the pipe for any signs of cracking or damage. Hold the load for 5 minutes, then measure the deformation of the outer diameter at the loading point and record the value from the display.
  5. Repeat the test on five samples, record the data, and calculate the average.
  6. After the test, use the left key to return the device to its original position and turn off the power.
  7. Finally, clean the surface of the machine thoroughly before storing it for future use.
