Project Overview

Due to the low flow rate of the outlet, it is necessary to cut the concrete wall that has been poured within the calibration range of the drawing, partially remove it underwater, and install the new trash rack in the specified range under the premise of cutting the new outlet. Additionally, pipeline inspection and related camera work must be carried out thoroughly.

2.2 Construction Process

The construction process includes: construction preparation → setting up safety signs and enclosures → erecting support scaffolding → marking and positioning → diamond wire saw cutting and water drilling → underwater installation → underwater inspection with a camera → cleaning the site.

2.3 Project Scope

The project involves the following tasks:

  • Local scaffolding setup
  • Diamond wire saw cutting
  • Water drilling
  • Underwater lifting
  • Underwater camera inspection
  • Cleaning the site

2.4 Underwater Cutting Process

The underwater cutting will be performed using a diamond wire saw equipped with a rhinestone cutting block. The dimensions of the cut block are 2.5M x 2.2M x 0.3M, as shown in the cutting diagram. The operation steps are outlined below:

2.4.1 Preparations Before Site Entry

Before starting, all construction equipment will be tested for functionality, and personnel will undergo safety training. Power supply, water sources, and temporary storage facilities will be arranged. A small section of scaffolding will be erected on-site, with wooden supports at the top of the pipes and legs.

2.4.2 Safety and Warning Measures

Professional guards will be stationed in the demolition area, and all workers will be equipped with life jackets and helmets. Safety protocols will be strictly followed to ensure a secure working environment.

2.4.3 Scaffolding Installation

Scaffolding will be installed according to the layout plan, ensuring stability and accessibility for the cutting operations.

2.4.4 Marking the Cutting Area

Based on the construction drawings, the cutting lines will be marked and confirmed by the owner and supervisor. Each cutting unit will measure approximately 2.2m x 2.5m with a thickness of about 0.3m. The cutting route will be sequentially marked within the actual cutting range.

2.4.5 Diamond Wire Saw Setup and Operation

Drilling holes with a diameter of Φ55 mm will be performed every 2–3 meters to allow the diamond wire to pass through. Expansion screws will be installed to secure the cutter and guide pulley. The Hilti WS15 diamond wire saw will be used, following the manufacturer’s instructions for safe and effective operation.

Images of the Hilti WS15 diamond wire saw in action include:

Only trained personnel will operate the diamond wire saw to ensure safety and efficiency.

2.4.6 Rhinestone Installation and Operation

Before cutting, the required power and water supplies for the drilling rig will be set up on-site. Construction personnel will strictly follow the cutting line. Hole positions must be accurate, with a deviation of no more than 10 mm, and the overlap between holes should not exceed 15%.

Chapter III Overall Deployment and Guarantee Measures

3.1 Principles of Construction Deployment

Based on the project scale and site conditions, the construction will be planned and organized efficiently. We will select experienced project managers, well-trained teams, and advanced methods to meet quality and timeline requirements. We will also respond positively to the owner’s schedule demands and implement effective measures to protect the project timeline.

3.2 Duration Assurance Measures

To ensure timely completion of the project, we will take the following steps:

3.2.1 Organizational Assurance

Shorten the pre-construction period and enter the site early. If the bid is won, key management personnel will be in place within one day after signing the contract. Temporary facilities and technical documents will be prepared quickly to ensure smooth progress.

3.2.2 Labor Assurance

A labor plan will be developed based on the overall schedule to ensure sufficient manpower and maintain normal construction progress.

3.2.3 Equipment Assurance

Maintain and repair equipment regularly. Ensure that vulnerable parts are always available to keep all machines running smoothly and improve their utilization rate.

3.2.4 Technical Assurance

Plan the project and network schedule, set stage objectives, and scientifically arrange the construction process. By analyzing each step, we will reduce weak links and shorten cycle times to enhance progress. We will also focus on managing critical processes to ensure both quality and time constraints are met.

Chapter IV Construction Organization and Coordination

4.1 Organizational Structure

To complete the project with high quality and on time, we will appoint a qualified project manager with extensive experience. An efficient and capable team will be assembled to manage the project effectively.
