LED will account for 26% of global lighting market in 2016

According to the latest report from DisplaySearch, the demand for LED lighting is rapidly increasing due to factors such as the expansion of manufacturers' capacity, LED prices, environmental considerations, and government subsidies. In 2013, the demand for LED lighting will increase to 33 million, which is 1 time more than the 16 million in 2012, and will grow 3 times in 2016.

The demand for all LED lighting products such as spotlights, LED lamps, street lamps, LED bulbs, and fluorescent tubes will reach 90 million in 2016, and the penetration rate will increase from only 5% in 2012 to 26%. The continued growth of commercial lighting, the implementation of government subsidies, and consumer demand for energy-saving products are the main reasons for the increase in LED penetration.
