All functions of the AD7147 are integrated on a printed circuit board. This new capacitor-to-digital converter is ideal for ultra-thin mobile electronic devices. The configurable AD7147 capacitor-to-digital converter has 13 capacitor inputs and fF-level resolution, allowing mobile electronic device designers to implement touch mouse pads, scroll wheels, sliders, and up to 36 buttons. In addition, the AD7147 also adds active shielding technology to protect it from capacitor-grounded pickups and other noise sources in the system, thus allowing designers to freely place sensors away from the main integrated circuit of the system.

The analog front end of the AD7147 has been improved. Compared with the traditional AD714x products, the sensor response is increased by 3 times. The improved response allows end users to experience more precise finger navigation and improved component performance, while continuing to provide designers with per-channel sensitivity adjustments for sensor fine-tuning. The AD7147 includes a built-in sensitivity algorithm to compensate for changes in temperature and humidity to ensure that users with different finger sizes receive the same sensor performance as the response.

In full power mode, the AD7147 usually consumes 1mA; in low power mode, it consumes only 50μA. This is 20% lower than competing products in the market. In addition, the AD7147 has the industry's lowest shutdown current, only 2μA.

The AD7147 includes a serial interface compatible with SPI, and the AD7147-1 includes a serial interface compatible with I2C. Samples of both components are available now, and mass production will begin in July 2007. Both products are available in 24-pin 4mm × 4mm LFCSP packages.

The MST776-I is a high quality ASIC for Car TV and portable DVD player applications. It receives analog NTSC / PAL / SECAM CVBS and S-Video inputs from TV tuners, DVD or VCR sources, including weak and distorted signals, as well as analog RGB input from GPS systems. Automatic gain control (AGC) and 10-bit 3-channel A / D converters provide high resolution video quantization. With automatic video source and mode detection. Multiple internal adaptive PLLs precisely extract pixel clock from video source and perform sharp color demodulation. PIP / POP is provided for multimedia applications. Built-in line-buffer supports adaptive 2-D comb-filter, 2-D sharpening, and synchronization stabler in a condensed manner. The output format of MST776-I supports 8-bit TTL or LVDS digital TFT-LCD modules.
