OLED screen hopes to be used by Foxconn on the new iPhone

According to the news, Foxconn plans to spend 2.6 billion US dollars to establish a new display production plant in southern Taiwan in the next two years, and at the end of 2015, it will start producing exclusive display panels for Apple. It is understood that Foxconn will cooperate with Innolux to produce the sixth generation of low-temperature polysilicon film, which is expected to be mass-produced in 2016.

If the news is true, it means that Apple will transition from LCD panel to OLED panel, and iPhone is the first product line to use OLED screen. However, considering that the new plant will not be operational by the end of 2015, it may not wait until next year's iPhone to see the change.

It is understood that OLED has a higher contrast ratio, more stunning color display, thinner thickness and excellent black performance, and the response speed is also very fast.
