HTC and Microsoft to Release New Mango Phone Next Week

According to Taiwan media news, HTC plans to launch a new Windows Phone with HTC TITAN and HTC Radar, which will launch the Windows Phone 7.5 with the latest Mango (Mango) to attack the Taiwan market next week.

HTCTITAN and HTC Radar were released overseas at the beginning of September. They use Microsoft’s latest Windows Phone 7.5 operating system called Mango, and the system updates up to 500 items. It is reported that Taiwanese Microsoft and HTC plans to release the two mobile phones in Taiwan next week and will be equipped with a Chinese Windows interface.

It is understood that the unique features of these two mobile phones include social network service integration capabilities, support for Xbox Live games, and Microsoft's online Office, Windows Live services that cater to the needs of the cloud services market.

HTC launched two HTC HD7 and 7 Mozart WP7 mobile phones last year, but due to the original WP7 as an English interface, it does not support Traditional Chinese, and its sales performance in the Taiwan market is not satisfactory. In the third quarter of this year, Microsoft launched Mango, which supports traditional Chinese. Although the HD7 and 7 Mozart mobile phones have been upgraded to Mango in mid-September, the two handsets are still specifications a year ago, and their appeal to consumers may be limited.

The upcoming HTC TITAN and HTC Radar are new mango phones. Among them, HTC TITAN is a 4.7-inch screen, which is the largest of HTC's existing mobile phones, and its thickness is only 0.99 cm. It adopts matte aluminum alloy casing. The HTC Radar is a mid-range smartphone with a 3.8-inch screen and an integrally molded aluminum chassis.

According to the survey of mobile phone sales of GFK (one of the world's five largest market research companies: consumer goods market research companies), in Taiwan, 330,000 smartphones were sold in August, Android platform accounted for 8%, and iOS and Symbian together accounted for less than 15%. In only HTC HD7, 7Mozart two English Windows mobile phone sales accounted for less than 1%. This time, Taiwan’s Microsoft and HTC launched a Chinese mango machine to try to revitalize the Windows mobile phone market.

In addition to the upcoming listing of new mobile phones, the number of apps in app stores has also become the key to attracting consumers. For this reason, Microsoft has actively increased the number of mobile software in the Marketplace. According to Microsoft's estimates, the Marketplace has more than 30,000 apps worldwide, and Chinese software accounts for 3%.
