A month of Nook Tablet sales have reached 1 million units

According to Taiwan media reports, news from parts suppliers said that the number of newly launched Nook Tablet PCs has reached 1 million units so far.

Nook Tablet is from Barnes & Noble, the largest bookstore operator in the United States. It was launched as a weapon against the Amazon Kindle Fire a month ago.

Nook Tablet has a 7-inch display with 16G storage, 1G of memory, dual-core 1GHz processor and Android 2.3 system.

Sources also said that due to strong sales, Barnes & Noble recently added orders for the Nook tablet, and the original plan was to order only 800,000 units in 2011.
