To create a "comfortable and safe" driving environment, cars are equipped with various switches. Among them, the air conditioning and audio control switches on the center console, as well as the rearview mirror and hands-free call switches, are some of the most common examples.

These switches must endure harsh in-vehicle conditions such as temperature fluctuations and vibrations. They also need to provide a premium feel and consistent sound that matches the interior design of each vehicle brand. For electric vehicles, where engine noise is absent, maintaining a quiet cabin is even more crucial. Silence and a smooth tactile experience have become key factors in enhancing the comfort of the vehicle’s interior.

In response to these growing demands, our company has developed the "SKST Series" silent mid-stroke TACT Switchâ„¢. This product combines quiet operation with an excellent tactile feel, and it has now entered mass production. Designed to withstand 4N of force and offering a lifespan of 500,000 cycles, it plays a vital role in creating a comfortable and user-friendly interior environment.

Building upon our long-standing expertise in institutional design, we have optimized both the shape and material of the metal contacts using proprietary technology. The internal structure of the 0.9mm mid-stroke was thoroughly tested and refined. These improvements have led to the exceptional tactile performance of this product. Additionally, the new metal contact combined with the rubber stem is expected to significantly enhance the quietness of the switch.

Beyond its improved performance, the SKST Series also features a longer pre-stroke than previous models. This enhancement increases the vertical installation flexibility of the switch knob, making it easier for customers to integrate into their designs.
