On September 14, Fujian Electric Power Co., Ltd. organized the first comprehensive monitoring system for real-time 110 kV opto-electric composite cable real-time operating system organized by Fujian Electric Power Co., Ltd. – Pingtan’s 110kV optical composite cable real-time running integrated monitoring system passed the review in Fuzhou. It is reported that the 110 kV photoelectric composite submarine cable in Pingtan, Fujian Province, is China's first domestically produced 110 kV photoelectric composite submarine cable. The research and development of the integrated monitoring system for real-time operation of the 110 kV photoelectric composite cable in Pingtan, Fujian Province mainly uses the redundant spare optical fiber of Pingtan's 110 kV photoelectric composite submarine cable to study the construction of distributed strain based on Brillouin optical time-domain reflection technology. At present, the project has applied for a number of patents to the State Intellectual Property Office.
