When I got the product, the first concept was also thought of only a CNC lathe, but the CNC lathe had to be fully automatic, which was a big trouble. The robot and other auxiliary devices used a plc. control. So I thought of writing the NC program directly with PLC.
When designing the machine, I designed the mechanical structure and thought about the processing method of the product and the method of writing the program.
The spindle motor is controlled by a frequency converter, and the tool holder carriage XY two-axis is controlled by a stepping motor and a rotary tool holder. Up to four knives can be installed, or multiple forming knives can be juxtaposed. Other loading and unloading materials are pneumatic.
The mechanical design was completed very smoothly. In the mechanical design process, the program was written in a mature way, including the touch screen interface. After the mechanical design is completed, the PLC program and the touch screen program are started to be written. In a short time, the motor is used to debug the action on the workbench, and various action states are adjusted while writing. During the test, the operators on the production line were asked to help out the shortcomings of the operation interface.
After the operator has seen the touch screen interface, he can basically understand how the machine is operated at a glance, including the amount of feed in each process. The entire operation interface can make people who have never used this machine look at it. Will use. Basically meet the ideal requirements of the design.
It is very feasible for the PLC to write a fixed-mode NC. And you can do some simple adjustments and deformation processing, generally in the original product as much as possible. No matter how many stations, this is a simple matter for PLC writers. The key is to understand the processing technology, and operability, humanity and so on. The interface of the touch screen should be more friendly than the CNC system under normal conditions, and can be arranged along with the shape of the product.
When PLC writes a CNC-specific machine tool, you can add as many auxiliary machines as you want. Like robots and automatic feeders.
Since it is not possible to change the tool path as easily as the control system, the PLC can arbitrarily close a certain processing station, as long as you make a switch at each station, or you can skip by entering a 0 parameter.

Under normal circumstances, the tool machining position can be completed by the general programmer. When the first station is finished, the position of the next segment is transmitted to the tool carriage. Each segment is processed in a sequence control mode, which is very simple and straightforward. If you want to skip this step, you can turn it off with the preset switch. The position data can be entered by pressing the graphic on the screen. The most ideal state of the data on the screen is drawn in the same way as the CAD drawing. This drawing can be drawn in the CAD in the 2D drawing and marked in absolute dimensions. After labeling, delete the marked data, leaving only the dimension lines and arrows. Then grab the screen into the touch screen. This becomes a standard processing interface, which can be said to be absolutely friendly. So the operator will understand at a glance.
