Seoul Semiconductor, a world-renowned LED manufacturer, said on April 13 that it has filed a lawsuit against the German electronic component distributor Mouser Electronics for infringing its high-power LED-related patents in the Düsseldorf District Court.

According to Seoul Semiconductor related sources, the patent infringement products are high-power LEDs produced by Everlight Electronics and most LED manufacturers, the world's top ten LED manufacturers. Mouser has become the object of this lawsuit because of the sales and circulation of LED products manufactured by these companies. In the lawsuit, Seoul Semiconductor required the infringement prohibition order, recall and destruction of infringing products and damages for these infringing products.

High-power LED technology is widely used in outdoor lighting such as mobile phone flash, car headlights, street lamps and UV LED products.
