Microsoft: Further Expanding the PC Game Market

Foreign gaming websites reported that Microsoft executives recently said that Microsoft needs to demonstrate its strength in the PC market and further develop the PC game market.

Dave Luehmann, general manager of Microsoft's game studios, said that they will further expand the PC market through Microsoft Flight, Fable III, and Age of Empires Online.

Dave Luehmann said: "In the past, the outside world has been criticizing Microsoft for focusing too much attention on the host platform. Now we need to turn our attention to the PC platform."

He also said: "It is a responsibility of Microsoft to demonstrate that our home is in the PC market. Sometimes we do this, but sometimes we do not, so we need to strengthen the development of the PC game market."

Dave Luehmann said that they have made some investments in the Windows platform. In addition to the above three games, they will continue to develop. Microsoft will provide Live services for these games similar to the hosting platform xBox Live.

He said: "Trying on some new business models is our responsibility. We will test some new ideas, some may be able to perform, some may not."
