GigaDevice has launched the GD32F170/190 series of 5V wide voltage Cortex-M3 MCUs, offering high noise immunity, reliability, and integration. These new 32-bit microcontrollers are built on a 72MHz Cortex-M3 core, making them ideal for industrial and appliance applications. The GD32F170 and GD32F190 series are designed to operate across a wide voltage range (2.5V to 5.5V), allowing seamless integration into 5V systems without the need for additional voltage converters. This flexibility makes them suitable for a variety of applications, from motor control to LCD displays. The MCUs also feature advanced power management, with three low-power modes and a low standby current of less than 1μA when using an external battery.
With up to 74DMIPS performance at 72MHz, these MCUs deliver 20% higher code execution efficiency compared to similar Cortex-M3 products and 35% better than Cortex-M0+ devices. They come with built-in peripherals such as ADCs, DACs, timers, and communication interfaces like USART, SPI, I2C, and CAN, which enhance their versatility in mixed-signal and real-time applications.
The GD32F170/190 series also includes enhanced analog capabilities, such as high-speed 12-bit ADCs with up to 2MSPS sampling rates and programmable current/voltage outputs. Additionally, they support multiple communication protocols and hardware features like CEC bus for HDMI and TSI for touch applications.
