10 years of scale expansion 40 times Since the release of "18th document", China's integrated circuit design industry has also gradually grown. First, the scale of the industry continues to expand. In 2000, the sales revenue of China's integrated circuit design industry was only 1.25 billion yuan, while in China's integrated circuit design industry sales increased by more than 40 times in 2010, the annual compound growth rate reached 45%, which is in the global integrated circuit industry. Nothing is unique. Second, the number of integrated circuit design companies continues to grow. From thirty-four in 2000 to about 500 now, the number of employees has also exceeded 80,000. Third, the scale of the company continues to expand. In 2000, only four companies achieved sales of over 100 million yuan. In 2010, sales of seven companies reached a scale of more than 200 million U.S. dollars, and Hass Semiconductor's sales revenue has crossed the threshold of 700 million U.S. dollars. Nearly 10 companies have sales revenues ranging from $100 million to $200 million. Fourth, the technical capabilities have been greatly improved. 10 years ago, China's IC product development mainly consisted of SIM cards, power management, MP3 multimedia processing chips, etc. Now it is in mobile communication terminal core chips, tablet computer core chips, mobile Internet devices (MID) chips, digital TV chips, and electronics.
