Energy-saving control plan for aeration process of sewage treatment plant

ISEmax CAS40D + Ammonia Nitrogen Electrode

ISEmax CAS40D provides a quick and easy control method for the sewage treatment process, which greatly reduces the power consumption of the aeration system. The new ion selection measurement system is one of the components of the Endress+Hauser Analytical Measurement Platform. The digital sensor CAS40D uses Memosens technology. Digital communication ensures the reliability and integrity of data transmission. It is easy to use and easy to operate.

ISEmax measures the concentration of ammonia nitrogen, nitrate, potassium, and chlorine in municipal wastewater treatment plants quickly and continuously. The rugged analyzer can measure multiple parameters simultaneously. The outstanding advantage of ISEmax is fast response. Since the ISEmax is directly immersed in the medium, the measurement system responds quickly to changes in concentration. The rapid trend display supports pre-process control and management.

Easy to install, low maintenance

Liquiline CM442 Transmitter

Thanks to the use of the Memosens protocol, the ISEmax CAS40D can be easily connected to one channel of the Liquiline CM442 transmitter and the other channels can be used for any other Memosens sensor. The equipment is easy to use: no chemical reagents are needed, maintenance is minimal, and no external sampling is required. In addition, built-in automatic compressed air cleaning can effectively prevent film contamination. The ISEmax CAS40D is mounted on the edge of the pool with suitable holding parts and the electrodes are immersed directly in the process.

Complete application of municipal sewage treatment plant

Typical applications for municipal wastewater treatment plants include measurement of ammonia nitrogen and nitrate concentrations during aeration, ammonia-nitrogen load (pH compensation) measurements at the aeration tank inlet, and load control during the aeration process.

ISEmax has a wide measuring range:
• Ammonia: 0.1 - 1000 mg/l NH4-N
• Nitrate: 0.1 - 1000 mg/l NO3-N
• Potassium Ion: 1 – 1000 mg/l K+
• Chloride: 1 – 1000 mg/l Cl-

Application of ISEmax CAS40D in Wastewater Treatment Plant

Sensor layout

The ISEmax CAS40D sensor includes an ion-selective electrode, a reference pH electrode, an equal potential terminal, a temperature sensor, and automatic compressed air cleaning.

Up to 3 ion selective electrodes simultaneously measure ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, and other measured variables, as determined by the customer. The film is durable, the film cap is easy to change and can be used for 6 months. Due to the built-in compressed air cleaning system, the cover film greatly reduces the pollution of the medium and can be operated for a long time.

Ion selection measurement principle

The potential measurement of ion-selective electrodes is analogous to pH measurement: the "migration" result of charged particles results in a potential difference between the measuring electrode and the reference electrode. This measured potential difference is proportional to the ion concentration.

Advantage

ISEmax CAS40D On-line Ion Selective Ammonia Nitrogen and Nitrate Analyzer, combined with the patented Memosens from E+H Corporation, enables plug-and-play, easy operation, data storage and safe transmission, providing great convenience for measuring parameters and industrial applications. .
